Titleist API

Titleist AP IronsTitleist have introduced two amazing new iron models for 2008. The new Titleist AP 1 and the Titleist AP 2 Irons, Both models are stunning too look at, and are being currently played by the world number four Australian Adam Scott. The AP is a very simple abbreviation for Advanced Performance, the irons themselves are a Multi - Material Construction, the irons have a unique dual cavity. The dual cavity from the Titleist AP1 allows more weight to the perimeter. Therefore the iron is very forgiving and have a centre cross member and elastomer insert that provides a vibration controlling cushion behind the club head. The irons have an astonishingly high ball flight caused by high density tungsten nickel weight that welded to the back and the sole of the club. The high density weight lowers the centre of gravity and the initial launch angle is also very high, the nickel insert has a low frequency and therefore creates a very solid feel. The multi-material construction of the iron has a cast body using steel, and an aluminium cavity plate
Titleist AP1 irons have a contemporary look to them, and have a very nice look to them caused by a semi-underslung hosel. The Titleist AP 1 irons come with a standard
Titleist Tour velvet round grip as standard, the standard shaft are the Dynamic Gold hl and the Titleist VS Proto TS 75 shaft. The clubs are available only from 3 through to wedge, which is a little disappointing for the better golfers who like a 1 or 2 iron.Obviously Titleist is a specialist in club fitting and the clubs can be made up to 2 inches longer or 1 inch shorter for the right hander, the clubs can only be made up to 1 inch longer or .5 inch short for the left hander. The lie of the golf club can be changed between 4 degree upright or two degrees flat for the right hander and two degrees in both directions for the left hander. The loft can be changed 2 degrees for the right hander and one degree for the left hander. A very interesting question is why there are different custom options between right and left hander.Titleist has always been proud for its custom options and the AP irons have quiet a lot of different shaft options
